Since 2012, we have raised over $700,000 to benefit residents of St. John in the battle with cancer. The St. John Cancer Fund was formally organized on July 19, 2012 with a mission to provide unrestricted financial assistance for St John residents and their families during and after diagnosis and treatments.

On St. John, 75% of our residents are small business owners and independent contractors. Most do not have access to corporate or government offered insurance coverage, and individual health insurance policies are unavailable in the Virgin Islands.

The St John Cancer Fund’s mission is to invest in the health and well being of our community members who are fighting this viscous disease.

We are now accepting submissions for team entries and outside fundraisers for our biggest event of the year, Light up the Night. Each winter, hundreds of St. John residents and visitors gather in Cruz Bay to walk in honor of loved ones who are battling with or have lost their fight with cancer.

To sign up a team to raise funds for big prizes, donate a prize for the raffle or simply learn more about this very special community event, please head over to our Light up the Night website and follow along on the Facebook event for the most up-to-date information!
